Writing is a very important aspect for researching and expressing ideas in our MA course, but it is really difficult for me because of the barrier of language. On the working process, I have some experiences and troubles.
Firstly, how to express the idea and the development of research is very important in a writing project, because writing is also a way to communicate with audience. Before starting writing, we should know that who is our audience and what is the writing intention.
Secondly, abundant research before writing is also very significant, because the reference is the basic aspect for supporting the ideas. What is more, it makes our ideas to be strong and credible. In particular, through the research, the related artists’ work will give us a lot of inspiration and arouse our imagination.
Thirdly, language is a significant base of a writing work. As a second language, English is a skill for me to communicate with others, express my ideas, and get information from the exhibitions, newspapers, internet, library and a lot of vehicles. But sometimes language is a big barrier for me to communicate with people and it also make the process of research to be difficult because of the English books and other reference. In addition, the way of thinking between Chinese and Western people is very different, so I should focus on the logic of language and use simple words to express my idea clearly. I think the communication and expression of our ideas is very important in a writing project. Developing the language skill becomes increasingly important for a foreign student.
Consequently, writing is a good way to lead us to think logically and improve the ideas to be detailed and outspread. As a result, recording the process of research and each inspiration from the life or study, it will be very useful in the future project.

MY WORK IN "WORK IN PROGRESS"
WHO CAN PLAY GAME WITH YOU?
With the rapid development of society, the lack of communication make modern people to be isolated, lonesome and insensitive because of the stressful work, study and the heavy pressure from their lives. As a result, people lose themselves and the real emotion. My work focus on the lonesome, isolated and insensitive emotion of a girl who is eager for playing a close game with a friend. In my work, I used a hand game as an element to run my ideas. In addition, this is a traditional game which should be played with two person, but they are just one girl who plays the game and repeats the same action by herself in my video and book. In the exhibition, audience can play with the girl and leave their suggestions on the wall...

Happy New Year 2012
I visited France and Italy and had a really nice trip with my friends in this holiday. During the trip, we saw a lot of amazing galleries, museums, landscape and special places which inspire us to think about the fantastic histry of arts and design. In addition, we are also inspired by the different culture in different countries. Especially the plentiful art works in a lot of famous galleries and museums, such as the Louvre Museum, the Orsay museum, the Centre Pompidou, the Uffizi Gallery and so on. Through the budget travel, we saw a lot and learn a lot and had a nice time as a new start of the new year.
